Why Team Birkie?
I grew up skiing all over the Midwest and fell in love with the ski culture here. After an amazing collegiate career out east, I wanted to reconnect with the Midwest ski community while continuing to race competitively. Team Birkie offers the best support for its athletes out of any pro team in the country, which made it the perfect fit for me.
How did you get into skiing?
My parents were skiing the American Birkebeiner well before I was born, so naturally, my brother and I were competitively racing by the time we hit middle school.
Favorite skiing memory?
The 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs. I got to take a week off school with my best friends, race at altitude, and experience three straight days of nonstop snowfall. It was feet upon feet of snow, more than I’d ever seen in my life.
Favorite place to visit in the Midwest?
Cable, WI
Favorite workout?
Skate speeds/starts/heats.
What keeps you motivated?
Seeing all of my teammates at practice everyday.
Favorite pre-race breakfast?
Bagel with banana, peanut butter, and honey.
